Sally Hansen Magnetic polish in red-y response and giveaway at All Glitzed Up!

Before I start this post I have to say... It's my birthday today!!

Guys please check out  Our giveaway on All glitzed up! There are two prizes, and is going on now.  Thanks a bunch!

I am so glad I have finally got to experience the magic that is magnetic Polish. Ive always wanted to buy one, but i found the price to be a little to steep for me. Well the other day, in Walgreen's, I spotted the new magnetics from Sally Hansen! 7.99$ Not cheap but not 15-20$ price range they have been. I of course got the red, and the second I got home whipped it out (out of the gutter dirty minds you!) I don't have my beloved Canon g11, so I had to use my cell, but thankfully the sun was on my side today and I got a nice picture of it.

It did take a little bit to get used to as I kept getting to close to the nail with the magnet, and had to start over, but once I got it, I knew I had to go back and get more colors!
Please mind the cuticles, I need to have them snipped..
Pros- Very easy once you get the hang of it, only needs 2 coats.

Cons- Dry time is slow, even with Seche vite.
Wish they had more colors.
Removal I have heard is quite the nightmare!

Overall I love this polish and will be getting more from the collection! I love the blue and steel colored ones.

Sinful Colors Unicorn and spring floral manicure

Now that it's spring, I finally decided it was time to try the first yellow polish I ever bought! (not including the detailing polish) I only recently had the guts to try the trend, and this soft yellow is perfect. The only problem with Unicorn is that it stains your nails, even with a base coat. Next time I wear it, I'm going to try two coats of base coat to see if that helps.

This is Unicorn.  I had to use three coats, because it was very streaky and had lots of dragging issues.  Click to enlarge.

The base color is Sinful Colors Unicorn, the orange is AC #10, the green is Pa A32, the sparkly white is Diamond Nail Homei D-1 (the worst quality polish ever if you remember a past post.. I still have to swatch it for you), and the yellow detailing polish is AT #4 Yellow. I used my handy Beauty World dotting tool to make the flowers, and a fine nail art brush for the leaves. I used the mini Poshe quick dry topcoat mom gave me to seal it off.

Wet n Wild Shiver 439D

Vintage polish time! I found this polish and a few others in a box of my stuff packed away a looong time ago.

I'm guessing this is a "newer" vintage bottle, when they added color names on the front of the bottles, not just numbers. I think it was a dupe for vintage Hard Candy Frigid (they were out around the same time. I found out they kept this color through the years, I saw it in several bottles, and they still have it in their Wild Shine line. Beautiful ice blue pearl, one of the "it" colors for polish this season.

After all these years, the application was perfect, not goopy at all. I forget how many coats this is, but I'm thinking 2-3.

A polish suited for a princess with a matching name to boot!

When I saw this polish in Riteaid, I walked by it and was like meh, another blue polish.. But then I picked it up and saw flecks of rose gold. I knew I had to get it, also it was 1.99 so who could resist?

Cinderella by Sinful Colors!! Great name and amazing price!

Gorgeous pinkish flecks!
It has little pinkish flecks in it, that when caught in the light are so beautiful! I am so glad I did not pass on this one! I actually went through my entire collection( hitting 300 soon!!) and I did not have a color anywhere near this pretty. Only one blue that came close, and it was a light creme blue.

But that's it for now! Ill catch you guys later!

Elegance Renee

In honor of Zoya Renee being an IT color this year again (Erika informed me it is in the latest issue of InStyle) -it was the IT color back in 2009 when neons first made their big return- I have it to show you all another time, but this time I have another Renee polish to show you!

This is another vintage polish (I'm going to continue to have plenty for you!), a pretty dark olive green with gold shimmer. It was just in my drawer at my mother's house, I don't even know where this one came from! My mom probably got it somewhere and saved it for me since my name is Renee. The color's name is Renee, (duh lol) and it is either numbered 60 (or 69, I can't tell, the label is VERY faded) and it says Cassandra Cosmetics, Bohemia NY 11716. Anyone ever heard of this brand? It looks very 80s-early 90s.

Something different and not quite me!

I am so not a neon color type of girl, I tend to stay away from bright neon colors. Orange cone nail polish..Yeah I'll pass. But I bought the roller girl set from Urban Decay a while back and it comes with Woodstock, this intense hot pink color that you can see from a mile away. It set in my nail polish travel case for a while before I said, "ah what the hell, lets give it a go!"

I loved how shocking it was, but It just felt like something was missing so I broke out the konad (actually the faux Konad) and printed multiple butterflies on each nail. Now I have to state the butterfly is the only design I have mastered..OH KONAD WHY YOU SO HARD FOR ME!

And after two generous coats of seche vite, because I'm not to crazy about the matte look that neon colors decide to be, and a splotch of glitter (OPI for Sephora, Its bouquet with me) I was pleased with the results! I think this is a nice push for me to be more adventurous. If anyone is curious I used plain old white for the butterflies, but with the seche it kind of faded off. But that is it for now, time for bed!
