Collection post!

I've been meaning to show my collection of my babies, errr I mean my polishes, but I didn't want to be a bragger and show off. I'm always jumping on a near by soap box talking about bragging and how much I loath it! I think it's a middle child thing, who knows. I just hate bragging, but I figured this is a nail blog, and showing your nail polish would be exciting, and hopefully not go over into bragging territory.

Do you think I like Zoya?

It makes me so sad that OPI for Sephora is done-zo. They had a great formula, and you can tell that I used them a lot! My fave being the Perdiot dupe Sage is just a number. And Mermaid to order. I love those colors!

My small collection of Nubar, OPI and China Glaze. I do like those brands but Zoya is my love! I also have a few other brands in there, like a N Fu oh  (awesome holographic nail polish)

Tink hanging out, like you do. She loves her "Pixie Dust" Haha get it? :P

ESSIES! I am starting to get more into Essie, since they have become more adventurous with different colors and textures. They used to be so blah and blend, but the last few collections have been amazing! There is a single Martini nails polish that is very pretty but I wasn't crazy about the application. And my only Color Club, poor CC.. I need to get more of them in the future. And my Butter London polishes, which I love but wish they weren't so pricey.

A barielle called Elle's Spell, gorgeous flakie gifted from Julie! My revlon scented polishes (the green one gifted from Tarah, and my Marc Jacobs Nail polish from Reneeeee. And MY CHANELS!

All gifts from my boss on her travels, I can't bring myself to buy one for myself... Vendetta is a purple that is really hard to photograph. Grrrr.

Confession time, this isn't my whole collection. I've got an Ikea helmer filled with three draws. But I thought I would do that for another post. Pace myself. Okay that's it for now!

Awesome Polish from an Awesome Friend

I oohed and ahhhed at this polish when I saw it online swatched but now I own it:

China Glaze Nail Polish Cirque du Soleil ITS A TRAP-EZE!

Courtesy of mi amiga Tarah, But I did it different! I love the milky base, but I knew it would take about 3 coats to get it to be that color, so I used Essie's Candy Apple Mint as a base coat, and I am please with the results.

And of course a nice layer of Seche Vite, Over all I love it!

Zoya of course!

I've been sticking to my no more Zoyas rule I set myself a few months back. Even though I have been tempted to get one of the new spring Zoyas, I have not given in! :applauds: (especially Neely!)

But I did paint my nails in Kieko this week:

Mind the horrible paint job, i did it while waiting for the girls to finish taking a bath, so it was def. rushed. And for something different, a coat of Fairy Dust!.. I do need a new bottle, for some reason mine has dried up a little.

A must have purple for your collection!

illamasqua phallic (oh what a name, haha)

I bought this a while back, January I believe and I can not believe I haven't swatched it yet! Well then again I can because I have about  a million nail polishes.

I was going for a nebular sky look, did I achieve it? What I did was basically this:
1. Coat of Phallic 2x (hehe)
2. Coat of Inglot flakie (blue version)
3. Coat of fairy dust by China Glaze ( are you shocked!)

I think I came pretty close!! What do you guys think? But before I got, please stop by at both giveaways.

Thanks guys, you rock!

Long due post!

Sorry about my lack of posts! Its been quite crazy at the house I nanny for and getting on the net (Renee knows) has been a pain. But I am back! And here are a few nail looks that I have done these past weeks:

The first nails are Nailtini color in Stinger, a gorgeous duochrome that goes from teal to purple in the light. With an Inglot Flakie on top. Love this look! I am sporting it right now!

This look is from a few weeks ago, it is sand and stilettos from Funky Fingers topped with Crushed Candy from China Glaze. A very fun look!

And what Gina, one of the girls I nanny for, calls Cinderella nails. It is just clear nail polish with sky blue microglitter topped with 2 layers of gel topcoat.

Sorry again for the disappearance! I promise I will be here to bug you with lots of nail posts!

Tata for now!

First 3D manicure- Xmas Snowflakes

Merry Christmas everyone! Here is my first 3D manicure that I've been waiting to post.

The base color is China Glaze Phat Santa, the stripes are Sally Hansen ColorFast Lucky Creme, a vintage Wet N Wild in White Gold, Crayon holographic gold liner, 3D acrylic snowflakes that I made, and topped off with Coffret D'or gel topcoat. Ignore the cracks in the topcoat on one nail. ^^;;

It was really easy to make the snowflakes, much easier than I thought! I just dipped the brush in acrylic liquid, then the acrylic powder, then brushed it in the mold, popped it out after about a minute, and done!

What do you think?
Happy Holidays everyone!

Ruby Pumps by China Glaze

Okay, another red, sue me! Okay, don't! This is one of my favorite China glazes. It's just a gorgeous sparkled filled glitter packed red.
It's also a bitch to photograph! Out of about 20 photos, these were the best four to use. (mind the cuticles..please) I have to admit that I used white as a base first, because as much as I love this color, it takes a lot of coats to achieve that bright opaque red!

If you are starting a polish collection, this is one of the reds you must get! It is worth every penny and perfect for the holidays!
I'm also here to let you guys that the other two blogs that I write in are going to have a giveaway:
ALL GLITZED UP! and ERIKAJANEJEWELS. So please stay tuned, they will be awesome prizes!

Okay back to work!

Ta-ta for now,
Erika

Mischa by Zoya

I ordered this last year but it is the first time I am using it! Here is the information from zoya:
I did not realize that it was only a 2 on the intensity level, so you can guess how many coats it took to get to this:

Four Coats.

Yep, four coats. But it's so pretty so I forgive you Zoya! I also put a coat of Fairy Dust from China Glaze on top. I mean, I just had too. Mind the cuticles, I ran out of cuticle oil, and I'm really not a huge fan of trimming them (I'll let the professionals take care of that...)

It's a great color, but I think it would look amazing over white or black! If you have a ton of patience, which I do because I watch children everyday, then this would make a great addition to your nail polish collection! But okay, off to watch some TV (addict over here!)
Tata for now!

Teal-y fast and teal-y beautiful!

Okay, that was corny! But I had too go there! I picked up one of the new Sally Hansen Insta-dry a few weeks ago, and I love it. The color is a mix between teal and indigo. Just a striking color. It's really hard to peg it as just a teal color, so that's where the indigo comes in. I love these polishes because they really do dry insanely fast! These are great for little girls who love to have their nails painted, but don't want to wait more than ten seconds to go play.

But you know me, can't leave well enough alone and had to coat them with China Glaze fairy dust. Thank you (once again) Julie for telling me about this color, it just makes any polish look a billion times more beautiful.

Found my camera card! And the sunlight was streaming in!

and then the sun was gone..
But that's it for now, time to hit the hay!

My two new nail polish Addicts:)

Yes, it's me. Your fair weather nail polish friend;)

I have been pretty busy lately so I apologize for the lack of postage! Who knew that having a full time job and going to school part time would make you boring? I for one did not! I kid, though.

I bring just one manicure for you, and it's funny because its the same color that Julie posted right down below, the periwinkle one. It's a gorgeous creamy blu-iesh purple, but it chipped so fast! Even with Seche. China Glaze, you are letting me down!

I also have managed to make two more people obsessed with nail polish, the two little girls I nanny for:
That's gina, do not let the sweet smile fool you. She is a handful! But she asks me everyday to polish her nails. If you look very very closely at the picture, you can see she is wearing "Back to the Fuschia" by Wet n Wild.
And here is Nicole on the side of Gina. She is my
little helper, always helping me clean up or telling her sister too. But once again, told let the scrunchy face fool you, she's a real handful too! You can't see her nails but she is wearing one of the Insta-Dri Nail polishes called "Lovely Lilac" By Sally Hansen.
So two new nail polish addicts to add to the universe!
And to anyone who is wondering, yes I did get mom's permission to post pics. Also If anyone is a fan of the movie Eat Pray Love, Gina played the baby at the end.

Okay, here is my manicure from last week, its the same periwinkle that Julie used. But with a dusting of fairy dust by CG.. (Word play, aha!)
Mind the smudging, I always seem to do this when I take a picture with my camera. Anyway, it's getting late and well I'm lazy. Ta ta for now!
